Client-Counsellor Agreement

I usually work with clients for 6-12 weekly sessions. At the beginning of the support we will work together to figure out your goals and we will review these goals during the support and towards the end of our sessions. By attending counselling sessions you are agreeing to enter what is called a therapeutic relationship, put simply this means that we both make a commitment to the working together to help you to achieve change.

Safeguarding Policy

It is my priority to keep you safe during our time working together so it's important that we have honest and open conversations about your wellbeing. Therapy is a confidential space however there may be times when you could benefit from additional support outside of the therapy space, in such instances I may need to break confidentiality to help you to access the appropriate support. Please also remember that therapy is not crisis support, you must call the ambulance service via 999 if you are having suicidal thoughts or intend to harm yourself in any way.

Cancellation Policy

Payment

If you would like to cancel your session all I ask is that you give me 24 hours notice of your cancellation. Failure to contact me to cancel your session within a 24 hour window will concur a fee (your usual session fee). In emergencies and mitigating circumstances the cancellation fee may be waved.

You can pay for your therapy sessions in advance or on the day of your session. I accept payment via bank transfer and I will give you my banking details when we begin working together. If payment is late, you will not be able to proceed with future sessions until the last session has been paid for.

If you would like me to explain any of my policies further or if you have any questions please don't hesitate to get in touch or ask me during our session.
